By doing so, she would stop her contribution to floods, mud floods, mud flows, loss of plant species, loss of top soil..

Where do you think all the water evaporated due to that repetitive, useless, compulsive, systematic cutting down of plants is going ?  Including the water from  the exposed top soil?

Water from cut down plants evaporates.  Water from the exposed top soil also evaporates.  It goes without saying :  the top soil isn’t protected anymore by the shadow that normally grown plants provide.

No shadow anymore from any plant to keep water quiet and useful in the ground.  Normally, plants can grow up to three, four feet, and more.

The problem is that lawn mowing is done over millions of square feet of land over the world.  Lawnmowing is done all year-long or all summer-long, depending on the country.  It boils down to tons and tons of water evaporating and falling back as rainfalls, with nowhere to dwell, so it’s evaporated again, and the cycle grows and grows with heavier and heavier rainfalls.  And floods.  Floods.

There are less and less plants to fix those tons of water.

Water “on the loose” is constantly growing in quantity through time and so is rainfall and the loosening effect on a growing mass of top soil.

More and more water is caught in a repetitive growing flooding and mud-generating cycle and process, with a growing loosening and loss, loss and loosening, of top soil ..

A growing liquefaction and muddy process, madame.  A mess.

It’s insane.  Hellish.   Spiralling out of control.

Crazy, isn’t it?

Lady in the lawnmowing wheelchair, you contribute to the growing rate of floodings.  No joke.  As though you were under the spell of an unconscious, collective, self-destructive, irrepressible end-of-times urge or death-wish.  Kali with a smile.

Strange.

There’s no difference between compulsive lawnmowing and for-profit cutting-down of forests.  The scale may vary, but the effect is exactly the same, and compounding.

So why making things worst while they could be improved? By you.

Stop it.  Take a walk.  Whatever.  And then thanks for contributing at improving sheer human awareness.
