Ants, Fire, and the Lawnmower

« He never dared to wake up .. » (Source : click)

All day long he rode the lawnmower

then went to sleep
and dreamed of a volcano exploding in his drying field
spitting up ash and dust

and each piece of ash
and each piece of dust
was a fiery red burning ant
swooping back down on him
like zillions of tiny hungry stars and suns with claws and flames
piercing him all over and eating him up.

The dream was so real,
he never dared to wake up.
